Mondomix Festival 2017
Our first event on the Island was the DidgeHeadRadio Festival hosted at Calbourne Water Mill in 2009. It is still fondly remembered by many as the Didgeridoo Festival and to celebrate this we will continue to have an area at the festival dedicated to the impromptu playing of world instruments including didgeridoos and drums. Our village of world music is found in the Calbourne Mill orchard and is curated by Mark Marrington and his African drum ensemble INTA AFRICA and master didgeridoo makers ANTICEARTHWORKS and friends. You can bring your own instruments and jam around the fire in the evenings or just sit around and enjoy the atmosphere. There are always free workshops during the day including: Beginners Didgeridoo. Introducing the Jaw Harp. What is Overtone Singing and African Drum circles.
